Itinerary

1
Stop
We’ll kick off the adventure with an easy downtown Reykjavík pickup. Then it’s eastward bound to Iceland’s legendary South Coast, where jaw-dropping views and unforgettable moments await.
2
Stop
Skógafoss is one of Iceland’s most stunning waterfalls, renowned for its majestic 25-meter width and 60-meter drop.

A staircase leads to a viewing platform above the falls, offering breathtaking views of the south coast, the Eyjafjallajökull glacier, and the cascading Skógafoss itself. Whether you admire it from below or take the steps to the top, this iconic waterfall is a must-visit destination for nature lovers.

On-site amenities include restrooms

Stop
Sólheimajökull is a glacier tongue, an offshoot off of the main body of Mýrdalsjökull glacier.

We walk towards Sólheimajökull, through the valley it has carved out of the mountain scape and along the glacier river it forms at its base. The valley is a chaotic collection of rocks, gravel and sand which the tongue ground down as it passed over the land.

The glacier is unlike others as it is striped with layers of ash crushed between seasonal layers of ice, but the glacier is surrounded by multiple active volcanic stations.

On-site amenities include restrooms
4
Stop
Reynisfjara, or the Black Sand Beach, is truly a natural marvel. The site offers beautiful basalt columns, a natural arc viewed from afar, troll-like sea stacks and during the summer season there are thousands of puffins which make the cliffs of the Black Sand Beach their home.

We do both sightseeing and the lunch break there. On-site amenities include restrooms and a café/restaurant.
5
Stop
A short photo stop at the photogenic village of Vík. We stop by the town's church where the troll-like basalt stacks and the village provide the perfect background for a selfie.

On the way back to the city, hear the stories about all the trolls in the rocks and the elves before you arrive back in Reykjavik at around 6:00 PM.
6
Stop
Seljalandsfoss is one of Iceland’s most renowned waterfalls, celebrated for its unique pathway that allows visitors to walk behind the cascading water—just be prepared to get a little wet! With a 65-meter drop, the waterfall is part of the Seljalandsá River, which originates from the Eyjafjallajökull glacier. This glacier gained international attention in 2010 when its volcanic eruption disrupted transatlantic flights.

On-site amenities include restrooms, a food stall, and a cozy gift shop.
